Women's fine pullover

Soeur approaches the fine pullover as a second skin for the between-seasons wardrobe. Light, close to the body, fluid to the touch, it works as well alone as layered, under a shirt or a jacket. At the heart of our collection of pullovers and cardigans, the fine pullover comes in V-collar, round collar, rollneck or high collar, in fabrics that can be worn directly against the skin: merino wool, cashmere, fine cotton or blended alpaca.

Fine pullover or chunkier pullover?

Fine knit and chunky knit do not play the same role in a wardrobe. The fine pullover, close to the body, is worn primarily as a layer: under a blazer, under an open shirt, or as an underlayer on the coldest days. It disappears into the line of the bust without distorting it. The wool pullover Classique, in chunky knit or combed wool, does the opposite: worn alone, outdoors, it becomes the piece that structures and truly warms. The merino wool pullover fine holds a third position, more versatile, midway between the two. In a considered wardrobe, the three are often found together: the fine for the base, the merino for mild days, the chunky for the heart of winter.

From mid-season to winter

Beyond the winter wardrobe, the fine pullover is also a mid-season piece. In spring and autumn, it replaces the t-shirt under a light jacket or an open shirt; in round collar or in a fine rollneck collar, it accompanies the first cool days without calling for a coat. Very fine merino can even be worn in summer, against the skin, in destinations where evenings cool quickly. In winter, it slips under a blazer or an open shirt, over a pleated trousers or a high-waisted jeans. Cashmere extends the season by a notch, while keeping the same fineness of fibre.
